January2013/ February 2014 – Newsletter
The Buffalo Trails team have just returned to their respective bases after a long and successful marketing tour that began in early January at the Dallas Safari Club and ended in late February after the show in Madrid-with numerous conventions in between. It was so great to see so many familiar faces and also to meet so many new people. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who came to see us at the various events. We appreciate that many of you travelled great distances to the various venues to visit us and your loyalty and support is truly appreciated and makes the time spent away from home so worthwhile!!! Dennis, Camilla and Billy – we would also like to say a special thank-you to you and your respective partners for taking us in to your homes and making us feel so welcome !!! You really did provide a home away from home.
We will now have a short break before the hunting season begins. Our first Zimbabwean hunt commences in the second week of March and there will be mid season hunts in Cameroon, Tanzania and Mozambique. As always the majority of our hunts will be in our prime Zimbabwean hunting concessions.
Due to the late release of some quotas for the 2014 hunting season we do still have limited permits available for most of the key species. Please do contact us for details, full quotations and available dates for the remaining hunts as per the contact details at the end of the newsletter.
Further to the analysis of vital client feedback-it has become apparent that some administrative changes are necessary for us to provide a more efficient and user-friendly service to all of our clients and service providers.
As such we have now implemented systems whereby the office you have initial contact with, i.e. Martin Neuper in Austria or Jannie Meyer in Zimbabwe – will now deal with your booking from the initial enquiry stage through to the final processing for the exportation of trophies. Having only one point of contact will ensure that the office handling any given booking will be aware of all of the details and special
requirements related to that individual booking.
We are confident that these changes will eliminate any confusion for our clients and service providers and as such we will be able to provide a much more effective and seamless service. Any additional feedback and suggestions are always welcome.
On a final house-keeping note, we would like to take this opportunity to advise everyone that Stephen Meyer, Jannie Meyer Jnr’s brother has now partnered with Talmage Alexander and they have branched out on their own under the Lowveld Hunters umbrella.
Lowveld Hunters and Buffalo Trails Safaris are two completely separate entities, who operate independently of each other. We will however, be working closely with Lowveld Hunters and have already booked several hunts with them for 2014. Good luck Stephen and Talmage with your future ventures.
As always we are really looking forward to a safe and successful hunting season. We wish all of our clients good luck for their upcoming hunts. Watch this space for reports on all of our completed hunts!!! Until next time all the best from the Buffalo Trails Team.
