June 2016 – Newsletter

It has been a busy couple of months now that winter has well and truly set in and the hunting season has begun in earnest. Our usual VIP Group had a great hunt in May on Chirundu and Nyakasanga with the total bag being 10 buffalo bulls (tow of which pictured top
and right), a lion, a leopard, an elephant and numerous plainsgame in their month long safari. As usual, it was an interesting experience considering the sheer logistics of the hunt and we would like to acknowledge everyone involved for another successful sa and we are already looking forward to next years adventures with the group!!!!

Jannie then went back to Chirundu & Nyakasanga with first-timers with Buffalo Trails Safaris, Roger & Gary. Lots of laughs and some pretty good hunting was had by all. A good hippo (pictured above centre) and a nice old dagga boy (pictured above left) were taken relatively early on in the hunt and then a good bag of plainsgame was hunted including bushbuck, eland (pictured above right) and kudu. Well done Roger and Gary on some great hunting !!!! Roger-looking forward to seeing you at SCI.

Bob, accompanied by his wife Jan were then hunting in Chirundu and Nyakasanga on a short 7 day crocodile hunt. They were successful on the crocodile and then the oppor- tunity arose for them to take an elephant bull (pictured left). What a fantastic result for such a limited time!!!
And on that note-there seems to have been some positive changes with regards to sport hunted elephant imports into the United States which is great news for some of our clients. Although it is still a process it does allow for sport hunting elephant and exporting the trophies to the United States.
