General Area

This 210,000-acre privately owned concession lies 1.5 hours north of Bulawayo. The gently rolling landscape features Miombo woodlands, cathedral mopane, acacia thickets, and open grasslands. Numerous small rivers and ridges—tributaries of the historically significant Shangani River, which forms the eastern boundary—add to the area’s natural diversity.

Recently incorporated adjoining CAMPFIRE areas have expanded the concession into a vast and truly wild hunting block.

Key species include large elephant bulls, originally from Hwange National Park and continually replenished from its overstocked population, and leopard, known for both their high density and exceptional size compared to the country’s northern regions. The area also supports healthy populations of sable, kudu, impala, warthog, eland, bushpig, and zebra.

A well-maintained road network ensures excellent access and efficient hunting. Though it is a malaria zone, the absence of tsetse flies and the area’s high elevation keep temperatures cooler year-round than most other big game concessions. The presence of dams, boreholes, robust anti-poaching measures, and rich vegetation have long contributed to the concession’s success—and will continue to do so.
